Have you ever wondered what your purpose in life is, or why God created you? If you so, you are not alone, but the answer to that question can be found in God’s own word (the Scriptures).
“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” (KJV)
1 Corinthians 10:31
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (NIV)
1 Corinthians 6:20
“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (KJV)
Glorifying God as we can see in the Scriptures is a commandment by God, for the completeness of ourselves. As we continue giving God all the honor and glory, we begin to experience wholeness and completeness as Christians.
God has created us to glorify him, and as Christians that is our purpose, because we are important to Him. We are to glorify and honor God in everything we do or say. In our thoughts, actions, and daily lives, we are to acknowledge God’s glory, appreciate Him, and lets others see his Glory in us. We obey God by obeying him, trusting him and walking with him. And we honor God when our faith and trust is in him.
